Please note this is NOT intended to sell anyone anything. It is just a question. I am asking for advices, as hardware newbie. Thank you.

Friend of mine bought an HP Pavilion 773c system (P-4 1.9GHz) a mouth ago at US$1700. Ever since his purchase he did not use the system at all. Yes, it is brand new. Now due to his personal reason, he decided to auction this system without the monitor. He is having difficulty in pricing this system. Could you help him determine for what final price at which he should auction the item? I am sorry for this bother. Thank you.
He wants to sell it w/o the monitor. Basically he wants to sell only the CPU box and everything inside, and keep the rest to him.

If your friend is wanting to auction the thing off minus the monitor I'd say take it to ebay, set a reasonable initial bid price and see what happens. You can likely find other, similar systems listed there that will give your friend an idea of what to expect in the way of pricing.

Where should I post this?
Not in any of the forums. Take a bit of time doing research and you and your friend'll be fine.

I believe it would be fine to pose that question to the OT forum. You can ask what they would expect to pay, or what they think it could get off ebay, average the responses, and set the price :) Good luck to you.

Others have done it, but ultimately it is the Moderators decision, you might just want to send them a PM to make sure.
