IT Sales for a major vendor. Account Manager around HW/SW/services.

I live in a small/medium city and am looking for a change of pace. I figure this is my best time with fewer obligations and high market value for my abilities.

Here are our top 5 in no order:

Dallas - lots of jobs, cheap housing, not too far from current home
Austin - cool city, tech jobs
Denver - wild card. Never been
Chicago - great city, lots of jobs
Toronto - family is there too

Let me know what else you need.

If you are willing to make the move up north and willing to not complain about the weather you get free health care out of the deal 🙂 But sorry I have to say as a Vancouverite that Toronto is the Detroit of Canada.

Denver is actually up and coming on the Tech Scale... Denver has it's own "Tech Center" .. where all the major IT Companies are focused.

What do you like to do when not working?

I'd pick Dallas or Austin because of hunting and fishing is close and friendly gun laws.

if you seriously need to run this by a bunch of people on an internet off topic forum, you may as well just ask a ouija board

Denver or Austin.. more likely to live in a house. I want to get a job in the middle of nowhere so I can afford one.

wow really? Toronto, the city/downtown itself, always seemed like a brightly-lit happening place. Or maybe they were marketing pictures...

Chicago or Toronto for sure. More opportunities for advancement down the road, as well as better big-city amenities.

I'd choose Denver for sure, because I love the mountains (and Denver is a cool city). Toronto is a very close second.

Nah it's just some playful Canadian jabbing. Vancouver and Toronto have had a long bitter, mostly humorous, rivalry. Sort of like East Coast West coast thing in the US I guess. See Vancouver is the beautiful city, mountains, beaches, skiing, hiking, forests, good food, good wine etc etc etc... Toronto is the big city where everything happens, the New York of Canada.

Seriously though Toronto is a hell hole 😉
