Where should I go if I know very little bout OCing

So I understand the idea of multipliers and core speeds and that basicly I just keep pushing up the core speed and see how fast I can get it while still being stable. How do I know when to increase the voltage? How do I know if and when I need to change MEM settings. How far is too far in reguard to core speed. Will I ever have to lower mulipliers. Jeez I'm such a noob. The CPU im working with is a 3200+. Thanks

Only problem with that guide is they are using short hand for things I don't understand and I don't know where to look for most of those numbers
