My own freaking island, internationally acknowledged as my own royal domain belonging solely to me and no one else, as long as I can have OMGWTFBBQ-speed internet.

You know, you could almost see the huge sign greeting wayward travelers to such a place:
  • WRONG ISLAND!

Up on the slopes of Kohala, on the Big Island.

we will see you down by the beach or in Waikoloa... 🙂
thats where my dream shack would be... and i want to to no longer be a dream

We have our dream summer home now in CT, where we currently live year round. In a few years, after our last two teenagers are out of school we're going to set up a winter place in AZ.

Actually, I'd like to have a house on some monsterous lake in the south. But I want my vacation home in Hawaii or Florida on the coast of course.

Whereever your dream place is, someone there wishes they were somewhere else.

Would that more people on the Puget Sound wished they were elsewhere, then perhaps the housing prices wouldn't keep me at dream home length.

What do you mean by realistically? I was going to say Wyoming since that's probably the only place I could afford one but a place with skiing and boating can't be cheap. Is Kauai realistic enough?

France, or Spain

lol, I forgot about the rest of the world. Germany/Austria/Switzerland would be great.

If i had lots of money Germany/Austria/Switzerland would be a great place to retire everything seems to go at a slower pace, nice bike trails, naked young chicks hangin out by the streams.
