We will have more on Friday, to ship out on Monday. We will double check them when they come in, and we can garauntee if they are Toledo's or not; they most likely will be, but we will know for certain Friday.

grrrr man its OEM. i hate buying OEM processors cause no warranty but thanks

They do too have warranties...just not for as long. 🙂

Considering these processors will last for 10 years + if you take care of them...I've never seen the need to buy retail.

OK what are you worried about warranties for?? You sound as if you will be ocing this thing and the minute you did you have voided any warranty. That sounds a bit unethical....

I suggest you get the OEM and pick up an XP90 and you will be happy...

Yes, we would. Our website won't take the order, you'd have to PM me and we'd do it "offline" so to speak. Also, I know shipping fees there are pretty high and rather slow. I'd do it, but you may be better off buying locally?

OEMs at monarch I believe you ca get 1year buit I think I saw most of them are 30-60 days....and only through the retailer you bought them from...

I *think* you can only get the 1 year warranty if you also buy your Heatsink/Fan from them. Not that it matters if you were planning to buy them anyway though.

when do you think that the 3800 x2 will dip below $300?

I wouldn't expect it to happen until maybe around Xmas and then it likely will be just at 300.....

I dont see much movement unless a newer speed chip is released and causes the stair stepping of all the cpu in AMDs lineup.....

I would still love to see a 1.8ghz Dual core or 3400+ model X2 to come out...It could be in the mid 200's and really steal Intels basement cpu P-D 820...based on interpolating numbers a 1.8ghz X2 would still beat a 820 an dpossibly comparable to an 830 still...

Most, if not all of us that bought 3800+ X2's from ZipZoomFly.com did get the 'Toledo' cores. So, you could very well still end up getting one from there. They are cheaper than the other stores too the last I checked a few days ago.

If overclocking is unethical, then why the need for an expensive piece like the XP90?? 😉

I would be all over that.. *join the club right?*

I have hovered over the buy now on the 3800 a few times. Still cant justify the $350+ considering my useage. 250 would be much harder to talk myself out of.

You know what I meant...If he OCs a retail chip he should never redeem a warranty and therefore just get a better performing heatsink now...the stock will potentially limit him...

What is the advantage of a Toledo core?

Nothing...nothing proven that is....A toledo 3800+ X2 is an E6 core (same as my 4400+ and 4800+) with 1/2 of the cache disabled. There is no guarantee it is any better of an ocer

I have seen not enough results one way or another to scientifically conclude anything....I have seen manchester chips 2.6ghz and toldeo chips top out at 2.5ghz....stil is YMMV.....
