Where is your holiday (company) party going to be?

alkemyst

No Lifer
We get YOLO 🙂

I have been to Mortons, The Breakers, Kravis Center, and more.

Nice eats and event!

We got the +1 allowance today!

Mine will be at home I imagine.

The wife works for a pretty high end financial firm, I forget where she said it would be this year, but last year was pretty impressive.

The Breakers is an impressive spot, I knew someone booked the place for a week for both sides relatives for a week for a wedding, was quite the party I heard.

I forget where the wife even said hers was going to be.

Shes out getting a few things from a local realtor atm, she forgot she could even scan things at home these days over the wireless, I'm kind of her in house IT, she was going to go back to work to do it 😛

No job.

And my last two civilian jobs did not have such things.

And in the Navy everybody was happy to be going on leave. The people stuck at the command were too miserable to party.

Dammit shorty, I like you, rise above it.

You sound depressed man.

don't make me come over there and go DI on you, you're a good guy.

The Breakers and Flagler Museum are great date spots.

Flagler Museum is like $7 and you can walk all day.

Breakers is $40 just to valet but you get it back in comp. Still a $100 day even for appetizers and a few drinks. They used to give local discounts but now that the Four Seasons closed, it stopped.

Her's is in an urn now in a VA cemetery.

Good game, I can't tell mom jokes probably due to those like you complaining.

I love moms.

Oh really? Is that one of those rules? I actually missed all the drama.

Sorry about your mom.

To answer your question: probably in front of our big-ass T-Rex with some wine and Lunchables....because the sciencey academic field just doesn't throw down for such events.

Yepo pretty good things over here too on the other coast.

When I used to be with Honeywell we'd have things like at the Columbia etc.

Our company will have a together lunch in a few weeks for Christmas. Everyone will bring whatever they like and we all share.

No clue, they rented out part of a museum. I suspect it's simply a ball-room type-esque room that was rented out for the night to have a "holiday" atmosphere. Free drinks, bring your significant other... that's all that is known so far.

Company is too big to rent out Cheesy Steakhouses like Morton's. Maybe our group will do something indiviudally.

For about two years now I cannot tell mom jokes.

How many museums around you?

How about posting when you know?

Thanks for attacking my Morton's, however you missed the rest of them.

I have had three Breaker's events, 1 Kravis Center (rented the entire main building), and only one Morton's...most of the time Morton's is just an appreciation event.

we have to pay for ours. Funny isn't it? When I had an office to go into, they treated us to pizza, once... in all my years there. What a joke of a big corporation.
