Where is there a step-by-step guide to softmodding the 6800nu to 16 pipes?

saw that....

so just install rivatuner after you install card and nvidia drivers... open rivatuner put it to 16 pipes in the 'NV Strap' window and hit apply then ok and the reboot? What about the vertex shader?
