Where is the Sandisk SSD Controller?

Which along with a new filesystem promise 100x performance improvement for Random Write and Random Read?

Anyone know anything on Sandisk?

Huh? Never heard anything about that and a new FS should have nothing to do with the controller anyhow since there's no reason to implement it in HW.

If you're talking about the 25nm SF drives, those will be out in Q1 next year and have some improvements on random write/read, but 100x performance improvement? That's more a "I heard from someone on the internet" myth.

LOL not 100x improvement thats crazy. But it will be 2x as fast as sandforce will go to up to 500mbps read and write, compared to todays SSD's @ 240mbps read and write.

That is not 100x faster LOL just 2x.

I dont believe there isn't a Sandisk SSD controller but may come up on the horizon end of the year beginning of next year. This is first Im hearing about it. You dont need that controller to get high benchmarks like 500mbps read and write. Just a solid RAID controller will do.

Just so happens that I spoke with the Sandisk Rep yesterday and they have nothing to speak of. They are putting alot of backing into their 64Gb mini-ssds which may be a part of the reason they are not holding up on the consumer SSD side.
