many xbox are out but not as bad as PS2 new slim one....

check ebay.... i saw some like over 220.

I was at Best Buy, Circuit City and Micro Center this weekend and ALL of them had them in stock.

just a note...if you bought a slimline PS2 premodded..ask them if the diode mod was done otherwise your laser will die prematurely. I have both units and I dont think the newer PS2 is much better than the older types..they are cheaply built

I guess regionally some ppl do not play ps2. And in other place the light bulb on some ppl just go on and decide to play ps2 this holiday.

I went to four walmarts,(I really hate Walmart) a toysrus, Target, Circuit City, Best Buy, Gamexchange, and a Gamestop..and none of them had any PS2's only one place had DS's (which I didn't even want)....
Everywhere was sold out of xboxs as well.

I didn't think it would be this big of a deal finding PS2's this is rediculous....my head hurts after all that and nothing to show for it...OTW teach me to shop around the holidays...I was just hoping to play some PS2 games that I bought with a trade-in of my gamecube....before I leave for like two months after the first of January....Fortunately I did pick up FFI and II for the GBA so I'm not hurting to bad but, I was hoping to save that for the trip.

I never owned a PS2 before (yeah, I know i've been holding out) but, I love FF games from my old nintendo/snes games....I was going to pick up FF origins as well...poo

About a month back, I picked up a slim PS2. I purchased it from Game Crazy - within a Hollywood Video store. Along with the purchase, I received 12 coupons for free game or movie rentals to be used over the next year. The coupons are worth $48, so buying it there made the most economical sense. *

* - Purchase was made using the thought patterns of RossMan.

True. The Xbox also had the same coupon promotion. The only thing that kept me from springing for the Xbox was the fact that I wanted a console to play San Andreas.

Oh yeah...I went there too...they said I missed there shipment by an hour they got 4 in and sold them all in 30 minutes...just from people walking in...

I'll try them again tommorrow...they are right by my house

I was at circuit city today and they had at least 15 of them, and that was just on display. I imgaine they had more in the back.

my friend was going to get a PS2. NOWHERE in town has them...so then he decided to try for an XBOX...NO ONE HAS them...

stopped by best buy today on a whim...the guy said they got 50 in about an hour ago and half of them were gone already...I snatched one...and left....getting ready to sit down and play some final fantasy while the snow storm hits...if it hits here.
