I own this board ,likely i preordered it from xpcgear.com in NOV ,and got it the the 15th of the month in november

This is the best board i own, ROCK-SOLID it is BADDDDDD.

how come their is'nt an official thread from the moderator of anandtech:|

Probably for the same reason there is no Asus Striker Extreme review on Anandtech yet, even though they have had a board since the beginning of November...

Striker Extreme sucks, you can get just as good OC on the eVGA and BFG at 2/3rds the price . Only thing Striker adds is a bit of bling and esata

And no corrupt SATA drives... which is a HUGE advantage in my book. eVGA and BFG still have not released a true fix that I have seen/heard of. I would rather pay a little more to know that I won't constantly loose random files constantly... I don't know about you guys, but I would like to be able to actually store data on disks and not have to restore that data every few days because it was randomly decided that the last time it wrote to that data block, it wrote incorrect information.

User reviews are mixed it seems. Some have had no problems at all and some have had nothing but problems. At least from what I have been reading. Problem is that there havent been enough mobos sold to make a really good consensus yet. Just my opinion so far of this mobo.

I'm guessing that most of the chipsets are going to Foxconn for the BFG, evga and ECS branded 680i boards. So Abit, ASUS and MSI are only receiving low quantities.

the guy who said, that this motherboard sucks doesn't own one like i do

IT is true this is the animal of motherboards, get one my friend and you'l see!!!!!!!!🙂

Well its nice to say that the Striker is rock solid etc.

However does any of you run 2x 8800GTX (overclocked ofc) and a high FSB like 450+?

Also how about SLI + Xi-Fi or an Audigy 2ZS and sound crackling which is yet to be fixed?

And ofc the low FSB with Quad Cores that all 680i boards get no matter what.

If you are not using SLI there is no reason to go with 680i

I think the Striker Extreme disappointed some people because it seemed to not offer the main thing that its high price and macho-sounding name would imply--noticeably higher performance than the other boards. Both Asus boards were free of some of the worst problems that some reference-design boards had, although having a few issues of their own, but neither seemed to consistantly overclock better than EVGA boards, and, from what I have read, the Striker Extreme seemed to be less impressive as an OC board than the P5N32-E SLI. There is no offficial P5N32-E thread either, btw.
