Where is the cheapest place I can get a 3500+ 90nm retail?

Where is the cheapest place I can get a AMD 64bit 3500+ 90nm retail?

And is the HSF that comes with the retail any good for overclocking?

Newegg

ZZF

Looks like Newegg by quite a margin. I bought an OEM cpu from ebay and you should buy OEM as well, and get yourself a decent hsf if you plan to OC. I wouldn't OC to any big extent with any of the retail hsfs.

I don't really want to buy an OEM but if i do, can you recommend some good HSFs?

And uh, meltdown, the NewEgg one is a 130nm not a 90nm....
Note: Newegg is currently sold out of the AMD Athlon64 3500+ 90nm

You've compared a 130nm at newegg to the price of z 90nm at zzf which is what is causing the difference in price btw...

that and noone seems to have them so zzf feels free to raise its prices :|

XP-120 if it will fit your board, if not the XP-90. Those are the best performing heatsinks, but if you want a quiet on that also performs great, the Zalman CNPS7000-CU or Zalman CNPS7000-ALCU are great.

Grrr... NewEgg just bumped their price to $325 and their availability date to 12/20. I've got little confidence in either since they've been changing almost daily. Looks like maybe I'll settle for a non-Retail version.

If you are on a budget you can pick up a 3200 90nm for 207 shipped at zipzoomfly. I have seen many people get theirs with stock cooling to 2.6.

I picked mine up at monarch, cheapest place I found it in stock. Plus, I ordered a bunch of other stuff from them, so it was a decent deal.

grabbed mine off monarch. except I didnt know I ahd to pay sales tax 🙁 so a bit more than I expected ot pay
