where is the avenue of americas in NY?

I sold something on eBay to someone that lives/works there.. was wondering if that's near the terrorist area

Don't get me wrong or anything, I'm sad and pray that people are safe, but I'm wondering.

Ave of the Americas = 6th Ave...it runs North-South in Manhattan

I don't think it runs all the way down town to the wall street area where this took place though.

it gets close to the south tip of manhatan but not quite that far...it also extends north up to central park though. if you were watching FOX news coverage, their building is on 6th ave (avenue of the americas) around 48th street

6th ave is on the other side of the island.

It's 6th Avenue, and goes down to Canal Street, where you may have been hearing that everything below that is considered Downtown. I'm sure he's fine, covered in soot, but fine.

I worked at 6th Avenue/Avenue of the Americas and Broome this summer. Whoever lived near there should be fine. It's a good 20 minute walk to the World Trade Center from there.
