Where is that $$$ from Trump's fund raiser going? Here's where...

URBANDALE, Iowa -- A local organization was given a portion of the money raised at Donald Trump’s veteran fundraiser Thursday.

The Puppy Jake Foundation trains service dogs and partners them with veterans free of charge. The organization learned Friday just how much money they’ll be given.

“We raise well-trained service dogs for veterans with PTSD and mobility issues,” said Josh Schoenblatt, of the foundation.

The Puppy Jake Foundation in Urbandale was founded in 2013 and relies solely on donations

“Without donations from the public, we can’t run. And with the average dog costing us about $20,000, we find it highly important to raise money,” Schoenblatt.

But the foundation hasn’t received a donation bigger than the announcement Trump made Thursday.

“It’s for our vets, and you’re going to love it because we raised $5 million in one day,” Trump said.

Twenty-two organizations across the country, including the Puppy Jake Foundation, will split the funds.

“It was just a euphoric feeling of happiness,” Schoenblatt said.

Schoenblatt said the funds of roughly $300,000 will go a long way for the local organization.

“That in itself can give us 15 dogs, which is almost half the dogs we currently have in our program,” he said.

While Trump’s decision to dodge the GOP debate sparked controversy, Schoenblatt said accepting the donation from the Republican front-runner was not a political issue.

“We have people on both sides of the party lines in our group, and all of us are just excited,” he said.

The only issue was providing soldiers with a new life.

“It’s just a great feeling because you can give back to a person who has been willing to give their life,” Schoenblatt said.

The $300,000 donation will be a little over half of the foundation's entire 2015 budget.

This makes a difference.
This alone gives Donald a true advantage, putting his foundations money where his mouth is, that is.
That a boy Donald! 😉

So he already gave $100k to an organization that trains service dogs for disabled vets, but has over 20 more organizations he's planning to give the rest to. BTW, he contributed 1m of his own money, from what I understand. Criticize him all you want, but the recipients will be in a better place than they were before. And he has to account for this money, as he's running for pres. And to the people that just think he would or could put it in his own pocket......wow! He doesn't need that money for himself.

Yeah, Trump played the Puppy Card now 😛

How low can ya go he, he.

Look guys, I had a green beret get on stage at my clown show to yap awhile, while I grin on the side.

Now I've donated money to puppies !!!!

Vote for me !!!!!!!!

The BS and low end manipulation that appears to be working on some people continues, Trump is making Lee Atwater look like a hack, and he taught Karl Rove ...

Trump was born with millions, he can throw off a million here and there and not have to worry about ever starving, just to keep going on the ego trip.

He'll have a future in just big money speaking engagements on the side on top of accrued assets even if he flops now.

He has nothing to lose just going to parties running his mouth.

People who think he could steal it are dumb.

Trump stealing the money makes no sense since it isn't even that much money for him, not to mention its not really even that much money for campaigning.

Now as far as as what it will be used for... Having worked in the past with some NGO/charity organizations, almost all the money is eaten by administrative costs. Youd be lucky to see 2-3% of the funds actually go towards their intended purpose (what the donors originally gave the money for).

Most of these NGOs are just job programs that dont do anything productive, just like the vast majority of government jobs.

It's more or less throwing a penny on the ground as far as he is concerned.

More smoke and mirrors.

You shouldnt find fault in somebody doing a good deed.

You shouldnt find fault in somebody doing a good deed.

I have no problem with good deeds, I've worked and volunteered many times in my life, even mentoring kids in FIRST, Toys for Tots, and helping at special Olympic events. That is even beside charity donations.

Probably way more than most people.

Doing it for personal gain and making a show out of it nationally is a bit narcissistic IMHO.

Trump is all about "look at me, look at me"

If Trump takes the time to train a dog himself I'll be impressed.

But that isn't going to happen is it ? No, that is something one of his servants would do 😛

Maybe one of those guys casually fired by his wife in a casino just because she didn't like the way they looked could train it.

"Begone, foul person"

We could make a movie.

Whatever Trump does now will make national news just like any other candidate.
As for being impressed if Trump trained a dog I would be the opposite of impressed. People need to be placed in positions that make use of their talent, not waste it.

He ought to be back on reality TV again then I suppose.

Whatever that was.

I never watched his show, it was mostly "You're fired" oriented wasn't it ?

Somehow that really doesn't bode well in the future to me coming from someone who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth to begin with.

He was born and raised to manipulate people for his own means.

It's more like a single donation of $300,000 I understand...?

I greatly admire what Donald did, has done.
And what this organization does has helped many many vets with disabilities.
Not only are the trained pet the disabled vets best friend, the dogs perform many other functions that a vet in a wheelchair or bedridden cannot do on his/her own.
Grab a blanket, slippers, gadgets, provide protection, alert help in emergencies, and even grab a cold beer out of the old frig.

Some would call this fund raiser just a stunt by Trump only for attention, but you have to admit as far as stunts go, all the other politicians from both sides only pull their stunts when it benefits themself directly. Or pull stunts only intended to attack those that might disagree. Like Huckabee running to the aid of poor little defenseless Kim Davis and wiping away her crock tears over two men wanting to get a simple marriage license.
Now THAT was nothing more than a F**K-ing Huckabee STUNT plain and simple!

I think Donald is pretty clueless when it comes to the decorum of politics, or politically correctness, or thinking before speaking, but Donald's heart is in the right place I do believe.
And what - the - hey....??
Donald just might be the best damn president we've had since FDR or JFK.
It could happen.

While Trump is awkward and doesn't play the game like the other kids on the playground, this wounded warrior fundraiser sure did beat a gang of loser politicians from the republican party tooting their own horns and taking part in that reality TV show hosted by Fox, "WHO WANTS TO BE A PRESIDENT?"

I'm a liberal democrat here, no surprise, but I "just might" cross over this one time to support Donald.
Killing off Bin Laden justly earned Obama his second term.
Raising money for wounded warriors vs playing the debate game on Fox has probably earned Trump the GOP presidential nomination, it should.
If Donald can bring this attitude and creative thinking into the presidency, then hell maybe we all can benefit?

Moron or not, you have to admit Trump would never be just another Hillary or Bush.
Is that not good?

He will definitely be something different. And I agree. He isnt someone who plays politics and that can be a good thing. He calls it as he sees it and if he hasnt offended you yet just wait but on the flip side maybe something can get done in america besides empty promises and increased debt.

You are a bit of a nut sometimes, but this all makes for good internet theater. We all troll each other, because, hey, it's the internet. It's a great bastion for being able to say shit we wouldn't say at Grandma's dinner table.

Here is yours and my bottom line: Clinton and Sanders are not going to be elected, for the obvious reasons that anyone with a brain can recognize. Yes, the GOP also sucks. The reason Trump or Cruz will be elected is because it's time for a change, time to give something else a try. What if Trump could make a yuuuugggggge difference? What if many people went to work? What if the middle class could actually have some upward mobility again? What if lots of employers could offer affordable healthcare coverage again? What if we could actually start servicing our national debt and it went down, rather than increased? What if we started manufacturing products here again? What if you could go get a job, just for walking in for the asking, like when Henry Ford had his assembly lines going? Wouldn't all that be great?

Why would anyone want to not fight for all of those great things? Why would they want to rally against them?

A man from south of the border travels 1800 miles, because he knows, that, if his timing is right, he will walk right into a job and very soon he is going to have some green folding money in his hands. For many Americans, two miles to get the same result, is too much of an endeavor.

Your almost amusing.

Tell me the one about the fox and the grapes next.

I prefer Hemingway though.

What did I say that was not true? Being downtrodden is just what some people do, but lifting a remote or a beer doesn't seem to be problematic. 😉
