where is stuff cheaper?

I just wanted to know whether stuff like processors, RAM etc. are cheaper in the US or in places like singapore. The reason is that I might be taking a trip there sometime during christmas, and could always make some purchases there if it works out cheaper that way!
 
That would depend on the exchange rate for currency.By the time you but it,pay taxes,duties,shipping,I doubt if its cheaper to buy over there,unless you STAY there.
 
I don't really have to ship, just carry the stuff with me. I doubt duty will be THAT high! anyone who can shed some light on this subject? (No singaporeans on the forums 😉 )
