Where on my hard drive is my e-mail stored in outlook express, winxp? I recently did a reformat and backed up everything i needed... except for my e-mail. I was just wondering if maybe I'd be in luck and my email would be in my big mess of backups.

Oh, I have another problem. I've had this since I installed IE6 SP1 a few weeks ago, I think. I can't open certain types of attachments in outlook express. ".doc" files and ".htm" are among them.

the doc files should be opened by MS Word. Did you install MS Office on the new computer, too? You should get a dialog box that will ask you which program you want to use to access the file the first time you try one that doesn't have an internal link to the program, such as a .doc file. The first time you choose MS Word as the program to open the file, it should work and will ask you if you want to use this program each time, . . . .answer "yes." The same goes for the other file extensions. You'll have to create the program links for each type of file extension.
