I have been waiting patiently for a long time to see some SFF motherboard using the new AMD backed DTX form factor. This was announced with great fanfare but I can not find any motherboards or cases in production yet.

Has this form factor died before ever really gettinh launched ?

the way i interpret it, AMD management for some reason feels SFF/umpc/ultramobile/mid/etc. is not lucrative enough for them. They said a few months ago that they weren't going to focus on it for atleast another year.
focusing on their core business i guess ...

One really has to wonder what Intel thinks about its partners using an AMD created form factor for its CPUs.

Well I'm glad to see DTX is not still-born, but both of those board were aimed at embedded apps and have no on board video.

I figured with AMD's new line of integrated hybrid graphics chips (780/790) this form factor would make a great small desktop for an office.

I guess I'll just have to keep holding my breath !
