Where is Battlefield 1943 PC?

Been waiting for this title for some time. Looks like it's already out for the xbox360. How about the PC?
Also what about these sites that say you can pre-order it for $14.99. Are these accurate?

You can pre-order it from the EA store, if you wish. $15 has always been the price.
At one point a little before the release of BFBC2, the EA store had a July 7th, 2010 ETA for the PC version, but that has since been removed.
They have stated they want to address the major issues with BFBC2 before refocussing back on finishing BF1943 for the PC. But they do still intend on releasing this for the PC.

We can only wait and see.

It's 5 years ago and titled Battlefield 1942, has more maps, supports more players, was actually made for PC and has some cool mods.

Do people still play that game?

lol I remember getting that with my cousin when it first came out and being totally lost on how to play it!

i remember when this first came out for xbox a friend of mine bought it and i was actually pretty impressed with it considering how cheap it was.

i've pretty much given up hope for the PC version though

Who cares? 1943 isn't exactly an updated version of 1942; more like an extremely dumbed down version. The only thing it has going for it is the game engine.. If you care so much about the game engine, get BFBC2.

Yeah that's a weird one. It kept getting pushed back and I'd forget about it, and think it must be out, except hey it's still not.

I was never that excited about it. What's with BF Heroes too? That game has been in development and beta for extremely long that it too I have forgotten about.

I've never played either but it seems odd they have both. Both seem to be very similar in many ways. I thought Heroes came first so I don't know why they even came up with BF1943.

Well, battlefield heroes is nothing like battlefield. The only think it shares in common with other battlefield games are vehicles and conquest game mode. That's about it.

Battlefield 1943 is a return to world war 2 using the frostbite (the engine that powers the Bad Company games). Battlefield 1943 only has 3 maps + 1 air only map.

BF 1943 is the only game that I've bought for the PS3 (I use my PS3 as a media center).

I absolutely hate the controls on the PS3 and cannot get used to them.

Would like a PC version (mouse/keyboard) please.

Despite the negative trend in this thread, when it comes out, alot of people in these forums will buy it, because they are bored with BFBC2, they want to fly planes again in a Battlefield game, and hey, it's only $15...

Man I can't get enough of BF: BC2; I wish my boss would pay me to play it instead of write code. Getting bored of it ain't gonna happen for a long time. 😀

As for BF 1943, I'd never buy it because I don't fly planes and am extremely glad they're not in BC2.

Same here, I don't mind being a passenger from time to time, but I like my combat firmly planted on the ground 🙂

Battlefield Heroes is nothing like a real combat game. It's A goofy shooter that feels like it should be found on the facebook games list.
