Where is a good place to buy stocks online ?

Datek is cheaper, but, they nickle and dime 'ya to death. I closed my account with them.

If you need a broker to (mis)guide you, then neither of the above.

datek used to be good until the ameritrade merger and now they're sluggish

i will blindly recommend scottrade because i've never tried them before but they are the cheapest
