I've looking to pick up a lot of computers for local resale but have little to no luck, finding a lead. I'd like to purchase a lot between 5-10 computers with or without LCD's no OS, hell even barebone lots with nothing but the case PS cpu CDrom.

Thanks

government auctions. A lot of times school systems will do it, but only at certain times of the year. Look in the paper to find out when.

Couldn't you order directly from an ODM? Do you plan on serving the roll of an OEM with technical support and everything?

Small start up, was focused mainly on computer repair, small business networking, and LCD repair/replacement. Staying local for now but doing this to get a little more income.

You're not going to find many new computers that way, though... mostly 2000-2002 era Pentium III and Pentium 4 junk. Most government agencies run their computers into the ground!

I used to look at those government auction sites during my eBay selling times. The computers on there always come in huge amounts for very cheap (say 40 computers for $100), but they were rather ancient.

Yep. that's the reason I got them in the first place. Our datacenter hosts alot of servers for a Canadian company. The decomissioned them, and the costs of reclaiming them, etc, testing, shipping back to Canada, plus the administrative costs of doing so, just wasn't worth it to them. So they gave them away.
