Where in the W2K Registry is the MTU setting?

I've been playing around on DSLreports. One of the few recommendations (happy to say I'm happy w/my DSL connection!) they have to change my MTU setting to 1492. They didn't say what mine is now...or maybe I missed it. Anyway, the recommend to DL a proggy called DRTCP. I don't like these type of TSR in your registry-type proggy....makes me nervous.

I'd rather just change it myself, and if performace suffers, change it back.

I connect thru my Netgear Gateway/Router to SWBell. I believe they use PPPoE...but maybe they just use PPPoE when using their crappy DSL software.

Can you please tell me where in the registry the MTU setting is? I tried doing a "Find" from withing REGEDIT, but it didn't find it. Thanks.
