FWIW,you can't defeat a chargeback if you are an online company, unless you have voice authorization. Also, how many people check the BBB to see if a company has complaints against them BEFORE they've had issues with the company?

Another vote for a sticky. I made about 5 phone calls to OM, concerning a couple of rebates, about a year ago with no success. A complaint to the BBB may have done the trick.

Vote for sticky here. I emailed the BBB, FTC and FCC about a plan we got with sprint a couple years ago, and cancelled the day after we got it due to terrible service, yet they kept sending us a bill despite their "15 day satisfaction guarantee" period. They promptly called me (~1 week after) and now they have stopped the debt collectors from calling us. All thanks to this great thread!!!

Thanks OP! Just used your information and contacted the Alabama BBB. They got my $300 rebate for a color laser from Minolta that was rejected twice. One week I got a reply!

I am going to take Amazon.com to small claims over not paying a rebate..

I am looking for anybody that purchased the Sharp VLZ3U Mini DV camcorder last year when it had 2 rebates on it...

If you recieved both rebates.. please let me know!! Amazon is not honoring their $100 rebate because they are telling me that it was stopped 5 days before I purchased it.. even though their CSR's told me that the rebates were good at the time.. and.. they are saying that they cannot make exceptions for anyone.. but I know some of you recieved the $100 rebate!!!

so please..if you ordered that and recieved both rebates please contact me!!!

Funny, ATT wireless didn't renew my contract but they also didn't renew my plan. For the last 10 months, I had no off peak minutes just peak. I didn't notice until I almost went over my 460 included minutes and I called them up. They told me since I didn't renew I lost my weekend and nights, bunch of aholes.
