I disagree. I think it's the story of a crooked attorney that was running several scams and got caught. Now he's trying to play the good guy that got caught up with a dark lord. He's trying to play Han Solo, and comes across as Jarjar Binks.

I'm not so sure. Cohen rejected a lot of the more lurid accusations, like Trump having a history of domestic violence or having a love child. If he was just out to get Trump, he could've easily made something up or at least played coy.

Thanks to the script the Dems handed Cohen, he might be looking at some more perjury and FARA troubles. The Dems know that Russia and the wife beating stuff is a deadend and the next angle is tax fraud.

Late to this thread, but i would assume it has something to do with being owned 24x7 by people much smarter than themselves. So back to the echo chamber they go to feel validated.

Trump won't get a book deal, because the only book he ever read was "Art of the Deal", and "Art of the Deal" was written by someone else at Trump's behest. In short, he reads and writes at the 11th grade level -- obvious from his sneering inhalations that punctuate his speech when he's following the teleprompter.

Trump never had to pass the bar exam. Trump never had to subscribe to the ethics requirements of the legal profession, even as we snicker at the joke that sharks don't eat lawyers out of professional courtesy.

The idea that someone who lied once cannot be trusted a second time to tell the truth is by itself a litigator's argument and not a scientific appraisal of human behavior. If, for instance, you have a mafia thug who lies in court, and you tape-record him subsequently in his own safe surroundings as he talks to other lying thugs, you can be sure that the thugs aren't lying to each other. And if he lied the first time, one should ask "why did he lie the first time?" because the answer to that question must be included as a factor to test the inference about him lying the second time.

Short version is "I like Cohen now because he threw Trump under the buss". I have no issue with that, but lets be honest about it. There is no need to pretend that Cohen redeemed himself, because he didn't. The "I was hypnotized" defense just doesn't fly.

I left the forum for awhile because certain a moderator let me know my conservative opinions were not welcome.

There is but one legitimate venue for "discussing" moderator actions, Moderator Discussions.

Rather than debating the facts, or opinions the discussions turn ad hominem. For example, the way @zinfamous never seems to miss an opportunity to insult me.

Then there is the issue of "nothing" I post is anywhere near correct.

For example, there was a thread were I disputed the article linked in the opening post. The dispute was over the author not citing his sources. Members started slinging insults that authors should not have to cite their sources. MLA guidelines say to be exact as possible when citing sources, those MLA guidelines were ignored by various members.

Another example was the author of an article misquoting the source material. When the misquote is brought up, it is excused.

Yet another example was Nancy Pelosi verbally attacking children. The discussion turned ad hominem very quickly.

I get tired of the blatant dishonestly of the left leaning media, and members here excusing that dishonesty. It seems certain members absoluty refuse to accept the left does anything wrong.

Liberals don't "own" conservatives. Talk about delusions of grandier. Liberals just parrot huff post and other liberal media which of course is dumbed down for the masses (80 average iq). We just get sick of trying to communicate as it becomes a huge waste of time. Liberals usually ghost when they are proven wrong or do ad hominens.
