WTF are rainbow jimmies?

So where's everyone from that calls them jimmies vs sprinkles? I've always called them jimmies but know that some people just call them sprinkles. I'm in WI.

But of course we also have Bubblers which others seem to call Drinking Fountains...

You're barely not Canadian anyway...

Um, er.. I thought this thread was about condoms.

😱

Edit: Looks like I'm not the only one.

WhyTF would you call sprinkles "jimmies"? It doesen't even make any sense.. lol

Jimmies vs sprinkles I'm from Ohio, I'm over 40, and when we used the word "jimmies" regarding the sugar stuff on icecream, it was well known, but it was considered a dirty word. Not the kind of thing one would say in mixed company. Or out loud in front of your parents.

Also, "jimmies" were the longer brown ones, as opposed to the round ones. The polite term for "jimmies" was, of course, chocolate sprinkles. I'm not the only one.

try some place with a good cake decorating section.. like.. michaels or ac moore or something like that.. in the wilton aisle. or.. surely some of the groceries have rainbow colored little round sprinkles of some sort, if not jimmies.. substitute! or call.. marble slab or coldstone and sing 'em a sob story.. maybe they'll sell you a scoop full.
