Where does Outlook Express Export the Address Book???

I go to File/Export/Address Book/Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book and click EXPORT.

I get a message that says, "Address book export process has completed".

Completed What? Where?

I'm confused.:|

Use the CSV option then you can select where it goes

DainBrammage, thanks for the reply. I have used that but the mystery still remains...where does Outlook Express export the Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book. It doesn't offer an option to select where to put it...it just does its thing and says, "I'm finished".😕

Do a search for .pab files. Look for a date/time that you did the save when it finds the files.

The search for files with ".pab" resulted in "no files found".

The idea to do the export and then search for files by date was successful...thank you mcviegh. 🙂

It would seem you would be asked, 'where do you want to EXPORT the damn thing!'

So a method of backing up (on your own without a purchased 3rd party software program) would be to EXPORT the Address Book and Messages...which would go to the above location. Then do a copy/paste to a folder outside of the Windows Directory.
