Download Tunatic. Play song over speakers, point microphone at speakers...profit!

Works well for most popular music - YMMV for obscure techno, remixes, world music etc.
(Sorry, no speakers here)

I can barely hear that and not really interested in sitting and waiting for the few gaps where Chris Fowler might actually shut up.

But I did anyway and I don't recognize it. Have you heard it somewhere else before?

I know, it's difficult.

I know I've heard it other places, but don't remember where. Thus, why it's so hard to identify. I'll try tunatic.

I'd find the biggest music-on-TV or music-in-commercials forums where people identify stuff, and post away.

I can't help you with this genre of music, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's production music from a commercial library. A lot of ESPN's background music for highlights sounds that way to me, in which case it's probably going to be difficult/costly/impossible to locate a copy.
