always wondered. why do humans have copassion? is it a result of evolution or are we jsut that way by random chance? are any other animals capable of compassion? i mean why do we care?! emotions like love/anger serve a purpose but where does this come into play?

All social animals are capable of compassion. Most people wont notice this unless you spend alot of time watching other animals.
