Well it looks like my new P4 will come with 128 megs of "free" Rambus.

I imagine I'm not the first to wonder what the hell I'm supposed to do with it. What's the usual routine to get rid of the stuff? Sell it here? Offload it on Ebay? Use it for skeet?

I'd bet a lot of folks here have had the dilemma after buying retail box Intel CPUs. Is there an official Rambus landfill?

Well, according to PC Progress' listing on Pricewatch, yes, it comes with the P4 2.8 / 800FSB.

Probably a typo. 128MB Free RDRam didnt come with a retail P4 package since the mid-Willamette days.

*What's the matter with rambus? Unless you have a system for sdram or ddr only.
*Also I doubt the rambus was free at all. Intel prob gave a discount on the cpu so in really you are paying full cost or some of the cost of the rambus and a discounted cpu.
