Where do you think Karl Malone will go?

I don't keep up a lot with NBA salary caps......but since Stock is out now, I definitely think he's leaving. I never really liked Malone that much, especially since I cursed him a lot for taking so many jumpers in his two finals appearences......

But, to me, if he's smart, he'll take whatever money he's offered to play on the best team possible. He is old now, but I'm still amazed at what he's able to do for his age. I think age/skill wise, he still has more of his skills/potential then Jordan did this year.

So.....
Portland: Nope
Sacto: Maybe....but would he come off the bench?
LA: Nope
Phoenix: Maybe.....that'd be cool to see him with some other forwards that can play
SA: Where I hope he goes......SA might choose to go for him if he takes his salary way down for a one or two year contract

Most likely: Dallas, which means he won't win a title b/c they just don't defend well.

Damn it, I was going to pick Dallas but I dind't see it in my first read through! It has the city name for all, except for the DALLAS Mavericks! =P

This is a tough one though. I don't think he cares too mcuh for the money anymore (as long as its decent), as long as he can win a championship.

L.A. - Please no. FROM A FAN STANDPOINT, I hate him. As much as he can be a good for the team, we L.A. fans hate anything to do w/ the Utah Jazz. =P If he does though, he'll win a championship. Is he willing to be third option though? Is he willing to take the criticism (and truth) that he will only get it because of Shaq + Kobe? I doubt it.

S.A. - Interesting possibility but I dunno if SA want to get that much older. Rumors are still around Kidd. I think San Antonio can do better as I don't see Karl Malone helping them get the championship.

Portland? Why is this even an option. Hehe. Lets just say a HELL NO.

Phoenix? I don't see him fitting, albiet I don't know much about the team. So dunno.

Dallas. I think he will work bst here. They must realize their run and gun offense DOES NOT WORK. Thus with Karl Malone they will be forced to slow down and learn to play some defense. He would help provide the much needed inside pressence and veteran leadership. Dallas is crumbling form a 3-0 lead now to 3-3 as we speak!!!!

East team? If he doesn't want to win a championship, sure...

That being said. The Lakers are still going to dominate, especially if they win it all this year still. Imagine a good possibility for next year. Scottie Pippen + Kobe Bryant + Shaq. Uhhhh.... unstoppable.

He'll return to his roots and play in New Orleans. The frontcourt tandem of the Mailman and Monster Mash along with Baron Davis will be a force in the weaker Eastern Conf. No doubt about it - He is going to the Eastern Conf where he'll break the record much quicker due to a definite lack of quality at the power forward position. The best defensive power forwards play center in the East.

The Lakers will be getting a veteran free agent power forward this summer. Someone willing to take a cut in pay to win a championship. I don't think it will be Malone though.

Juwan Howard?

Keon Clark? cuz he won't get it in Sucto :)

if Malone is smart, he'll go to some EAST team. Not many solid Power Forwards over there.

He shouldn't go to any team in the East. If he does he will retire without a ring.

If he wants a ring he has to stay in the west and LA looks like the best place for him to go. LA needs him and Karl wants a ring. It's a perfect fit.

He still has game and he would help the Lakers A TON! He has one good year left in him. If the Lakers don't pick him up I would be very suprised.

i think he could land in San An becuase they will have a lot of cap room this offseason, and it would benefit both he and Duncan if he was to go there cuz they could win a few rings together
