I don't know about good mechanics in Chicago. I got to my sisters' mechanic and he also happens to be the mechanic of our other friends from church. So far, he's been doing a great job.

Is that some sort of deal you got from that dealership when you bought the car. Never heard of anything like that on a standard warrenty.

nah, I have an 86 Accord LXi 5 spd with 201xxx miles. Family friend work there. I think if you work at the dealership, you can take your friend/families car in once a week so you can fix it and use their equipment.

I'm not complaining, i had my brakes done with real honda part for $33.
