Defenitions:

Social Conservative: Fundamentalist Christian, Pro-Life, Anti-Gay

Social Liberal: Liberatarian, Pro-Choice, Pro-Gay Rights, etc

Fiscal Conservative: Tax cuts for rich, smaller government, less social programs

Fiscal Liberal: More social programs, more taxes for rich, give poor money.

I conducted a poll of the same sort on my own forums a short while ago and was quite surprised at the results - I'm curious where the rest of you stand. Mainly I'm interested in Canadians, so I apologise to those of you who I leave out of the poll. 🙂

I'm a member of The Boredom Party. Part of our platform is to reduce the frequency with which exactly the same thread is posted.

Damn, I voted incorrectly :|! I was supposed to vote "(Other) Social Liberal/Fiscal Conservative", but I accidentally voted "fiscal liberal" 🙁.

Well, I'm for tax-cuts for everybody, not just for the rich.

Nice poll execution, contrary to Russ's opinion.

I'm (American) Social Liberal/Fiscal Conservative, GENERALLY. There are exceptions.

<< Social Conservative: Fundamentalist Christian, Pro-Life, Anti-Gay >>

Do you really have to be a fundamentalist christian to be a social conservative ? 😕

I'm in between. I have a liberal view on things like abortion, gay rights, etc. but a conservative view on economics.

Me -----> Social Liberal, Moderate/Liberal Fiscal.

(American) Social Conservative/Fiscal Conservative = Republican Party
(American) Social Conservative/Fiscal Liberal = Reform Party(Watered-down facism?)
(American) Social Liberal/Fiscal Liberal = Democratic Party
(American) Social Liberal/Fiscal Conservative = Green Party/Libertarian

<< i'm a fiscal moderate and a social moderate. >>

I am a flaming Libertarian.

Note: Flaming != Homosexual. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

That's interesting. I always had the impression that the Green Party was closer to Democrat than Libertarian.

A libertarian would vote for "social liberal/fiscal conservative."

A Greenie would vote for "social liberal/fiscal liberal."

<< Green Party/Libertarian >>

These two are basically opposites.

Exactly. The Green party is heavily socialist.

pro-choice, pro-death penalty, anti-religious, anti-I don't care if you're gay so stop running down the streets with your gay pride shirt on.
