most of them are in the living room. i also have a htpc in the bedroom. we also have a grand piano in the living room.

In the room between the kitchen and the living room. I suppose it could be an awkwardly designed dining room, but since that's where the PCs are, it's the computer room.

i have two laptops. so i don't really put them anywhere specific, though i usually leave my dell in my room

I have my gaming box, my secondary machine, and my server in my Office
I currently have my laptop and my HTPC in the living room.
My HTPC used to be in my basement den, but it's currently a clusterfvck (flood damaged insulation and drywall, ceiling is torn up, need to fix window well drainage, then need to replace insulation and drywall, need to run some new wiring, then need ceiling, then will put in flooring and make into home theater) ...

I have a Mac Mini in my bedroom that acts as a media center PC.

I have a mid size tower in my office that acts as my home server that also host my own ftp and website as well as all the media I stream to my media streaming devices.

I have two laptops in the living room, one on each side of the couch, one for me and one for my wife.

I was using a Shuttle SFF PC in my living room as a media center until I got my PS3, but since I can get the PS3 to do all the media functions I was doing with my Shuttle, I no longer use it.

I have a laptop in my master bedroom next to my side of the bed also for any neffing or general computer use desires.

I have about 5 computers on top of the others mentioned that are not in use at the time though, I've been thinking of putting on in my kitchen to store recipes on and to look up new ones but it's pretty easy to just grab my laptop from the living room and take it into the kitchen if I need it.

Since you live in your parent's basement I don't know any other place you would put it.

Yeah, we have a weird house. The basement is the second floor. you are a troll, and GTFO of my thread.

home office which if I weren't married and have a master bedroom, would be my bedroom too... pc, FIOS tv & a recliner in here as a makeshift bed, and yes, I have slept in here at my own will. 😀 Did I mention all my clothes are in here too? My wife took over our closet.

You don't have your RAID array suspended in some extravagant setup that absorbs all possible shock?

Hard mount and it can take quite a beating but I think I have a bad SAS fanout cable as I see a lot of red when the drives are working which means there is a problem. (well duh!)

I have 1 desktop PC at home, it's in our "office" which is pretty much where i spend 90% of my waking hours @ home. it's in the corner, on top of a corner-unit desk. i need a new PC, i'm sure that most of all of your castoff PC parts could build a superior system to the one I'm still using 😀
