Where do you put your computer?

Gaming rig in the den type room, server/HTPC in living room next to the tv, laptop either in the bedroom or on my lap on couch/recliner in front of the tv. GF's laptop is same as mine generally.

In my apartment, my laptop sits on my desk in my bedroom. When I go home on breaks, my laptop will be wherever and there are 2 computers in the basement.

bedroom.

I'd prefer to have it in my living room, but there's really not enough room without sacrificing major sitting space. I *could* get rid of an end table and squeeze a desk in that space, but I'd be facing away from the tv and what would be the point if I couldn't watch tv?

I kinda miss my last apartment where I had space for a dedicated computer room... next time I move again, I'm going to seriously look for a 2 bedroom or a 1-bedroom with a dining room for that purpose.

Main computer in the basement where I spend a lot of time, one in the bedroom that we mostly use for an HTPC, and one in our workout room that we also use to play our recorded content while working out.

My main system is in my basement which is basically my play room (guitars/recording equipment). My laptop is usually in my bedroom or the living room.

My main workstation is in my bedroom under my desk sitting on two ceramic tiles on a piece of wood. Better for dust/static etc.

I got my backup server in my room too which only turns on at 3:30 am to run the backup job then shuts off, a workstation downstairs and my 2 other vm servers that are on 24/7.

So far my parents did not complain about the hydro bill... so far. 😛 Guess I kind of compensate by keeping the heating bill lower.
