I'll take a pic when I get my digital camera back.

I'm in an apartment, so it's makeshift. I got the apartment managers to let me wire all the rooms for cat5e, into wall plates. Then I put in a cable drop to the linen closet in the hall and mounted an 8 port rj45 plate there. I put the electrical (supplied by 2 extension cords running from seperate fused locations) drop is and run all that stuff to the bottom shelf (cable modem, switch, etc too).

Then I bought a 15" lcd, a mini keyboard, and a finger rollerball (like a little tiny trackball you wear like a ring) and put those on shelves 2 & 3 down from the top. I cut out the ceiling and put in a small box fan to draw up the heat (again, with apartment permission. I took the 4 computers I use as servers apart and screwed the mb's and such onto 1/4 inch plywood (2 on each) that fit into shelf space 1 & 4. I use one cdrw and one floppy shared from one of the servers for all four systems to minimize the clutter.

That's about it.

two computers under my desk, 1 on a computer cart that i use as a night stand, and one across the room... all hooked up to my belkin omniview soho KVM.

Up until around a month ago it was sitting on my desk squeezed against the wall, so I could fit two 19" monitors on my desk. I finally moved it below my desk... seems to be working fine.

In the fridge. All the benefits of water cooling, none of the potential leakage. Not a single fan in the case...not even on the CPU HS. I have a 100-foot piece of CAT-5 and VGA cables extented together that gofrom the kitchen to my bedroom. It's actually a pretty sweet setup! 🙂 ps I'm lying.

Damn I was thinking that was worth a try for myself 😉
