I've used Jab-Tech occasionally for a number of things. I should visit their web-site more often.

Some of these resellers have "specialties" with "specialty customers." Anyone use Provantage? They seem strong on networking and server-controller hardware, if I'm not mistaken. Wouldn't know at all if they even carry thermal paste, and I don't think they have a big offering of CPUs. I don't think they have much in the way of heatpipe coolers, either. But Heatsink Factory doesn't sell CPUs -- or I don't know about it. They sell a lot of thermal paste(s).

Last time I purchased some I got it from Radio Shack but it was not like Artic Silver 5 or the absolute best quality. But it did seem to work pretty well. I dont know if places like Best Buy sell stuff like that.

I've had good luck with the Radio Shack paste.

depending on how fast ya need it my Radio Shack was my first choice for some TIM and it was close to what you get it for online - add that to being 7 blocks from me it was a no brainer at the time - mine stocked AS5 and Ceramique

other than that the svc deal or any deal with free ship is the way to go

My Radio Shack only stocks the cheap white stuff. :(

Late to this party...anyway, +1 for Radio Shack. They had AS:5 and Ceramique, both strangely in Thermaltake packaging. Go figure. It kind-of evens out though. To not pay for shipping, you pay $9.95 for AS:5 and $6.95 (I think) for Ceramique. Then again, it's in your hands right then.

That's what I've used. Works well enough, doesn't seem to dry out.

Radioshack carries Arctic Silver 5 near me...I think they charged like $6. I also have a TigerDirect by me though, and they sell Arctic Silver 5 for $5.

I go back and forth between the tartar protection and sensitive teeth protection...

What about "extra whitening" to remove all those blueberry-screens-of-death, and extra fluoride to prevent malware plaque?

Seriously, though, I've heard TP works pretty well; have you really been using it yourself in any demanding (significant overclock) applications?

Jeez! How much TIM do you guys need? I'm barely half-way through the ceramique (used for testing) and Silver (for final installation) after about 5 years of futzing.

Actually, if you aren't OCing, the white stuff is fine. Truth be told, you'll save 2c at most with AS5 or the like.

OCZ Freeze is $6 at TigerDirect. TigerDirect doesn't even stock AS5 anymore. I was pretty surprised at that...

luckily i have some leftover chemtronics silver conductive grease and some other copper based material, one syringe each. got em both for free through a sample subscription type of deals, wonder if they would deteriorate over time? the chemtronics one is almost 8 years old, and the other is probably 3-4 years.

Come on, I'm sure there's something in addition to TIM you want to buy at Newegg... :D
