Where do you guys buy winterwear?

Winter's coming, temperatures are dropping, and I don't have any winterwear. I'm wondering if factory outlets are significantly cheaper than retail/online stores, particularly jackets and timberland(or similar) boots.

I bought a nice Columbia parka at Marshall's for $99 (retail price was $200).

I had been lurking around on Ebay for something similar but beat the best prices on there by $20 + shipping costs.

BTW my experience with factory outlets has been that you save 10% or so from the chain stores they represent. I think they are over-hyped for the value that you get.

the mall -> any of the big department stores (like Macy's) -> Men's polo section -> sales rack ranging up to 50%+ off

Okay, here is another... REI-Outlet... You might also check Patagonia and see if they have an outlet near where ever you are at... I live in a pretty extreme area, and I rank Patagonia, Marmot, and Mountain Hardware stuff as first rate...

Nice. I was kinda looking for north face/columbia down jackets. I didn't see many down jackets in those sites though, most are for ski sports or lighter weight soft shells.
