Where do you go for gaming news?

I am looking for a good site that reports on consoles. I have a great PC gaming site in rockpapershotgun.com, but as the name implies, they don't really report on console news.

After being shown footage from Zero Dawn, and just finding out that Xenoblade X is just a few weeks away, I realized that I have a massive hole in gaming news. Joystiq was my go-to, but they got closed and the gaming news on engadget doesn't cut it.

I will preface this by saying that I am extremely picky. I loathe destructoid, and anything gawker or vox. So that leaves out kotaku and polygon. I hate their content, and read enough reviews from all those three above where absurdly out-of-place bias affected the review for no good reason that I don't go back.

I frequent ign (cue irony) for general pop culture news, but they don't offer a great layout for getting console news without going into each console's sub-section.

Is gamespot any good again? I stopped visiting them after the whole kane and lynch thing. giantbomb seems very news light, or am I just browsing it wrong?

Are there any great sites I'm just not aware of?

I still want to be in the console loop so that I know what to look for when I eventually get current gen systems, Wii U excluded (own it already).
 
I guess it's about what you're trying to get. All I care for is general stuff (release dates, mostly), I'm not looking to read in-depth interviews and reviews. So, I'll make passes at IGN and GameSpot to check major things. I don't care about their writing quality at all, I just want to see maybe a gameplay video. I'm very lazy with this stuff.

I WILL say, don't touch CinemaBlend. It's a hellhole of bad writing, extreme bias, and multi-page click generators.
 
I kind of figured replies would be low after I dismissed three of the biggest sites. I guess I'll try adding gamespot into my rotation and see if they've improved.
 
Forums are the best source for news these days I find. I will occasionally find things of interest on sites like highdefdigest which I go to for other info as well. I don't regularly read or check gaming specific sites except around major game conferences like E3 and Gamescom.
 
siliconera, rpgnews (i think it's called) and occasionally pcgamer.

My needs are pretty specific tho 😛

edit - just remembered, console not pc, so strike the last 😀
