Where do you get your cheap magic cards?

Man, I used to play a tri-color back in the Revised/4th ed. days. Blue/Green/White. Had 4 Serra Angels in that deck. I had the thickest deck of all my friends and they were always sayin I should go back to 2 color. Screw that, I had all the big power cards and stuff; Forces of Nature, Mahamoti Dijns (sp?), all sorts of neat stuff. Oh how I wish I hadn't lent my buddy that deck (He lost it

Kinda miss playing, haven't touched it since Urza's Saga came out. Started back in the Revised/Fallen Empires days. Came damn near qualifying for the pro tour once, but one of the bastards that runs this site took me out.

my roommate's brother had a red/white deck and he whipped our arses so many times... he'd been collecting since antiquities (we started around the legends expansion)... cards from back then aren't allowed anymore

Anyways, got in during Beta, after the 2nd set of ???'s came out I got out. i saw where it was going, from a very fun game to nothing but release after release after release all for the money. Damn, i do miss playing, but it became ridiculous. Me and my friends pretty well had the best of the best. Had a wicked goblin deck, my friend had a fast white deck. A MEAN black deck (LOTP's and Nightmares) which I traded and incorporated into my Red deck (4 Shivans, lightning bolts, fork's)
Man, I cant remember 9/10th of the cards we had, and remember even less of what cards were out then.......It was alot of fun.....

Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Arabian Nights, Antiquities, Legends, Revised (3rd), The Dark, Fallen Empires, Ice Age, 4th Edition, Alliances, another IA expansion I forget the name of, Mirage, Visions, Weatherlight, Tempest, Exodus, Stronghold. And that's where my memory fades.

Not allowed anymore? That sucks. I could prolly still kick some arse with that deck if I still had it and. I recall my favorite card was a Balance. I used that against guys who played weenie decks and brought out tons of mana and lots of little 1/1 guys. This one time, a guy had a deck of about 200 cards, most of them crap. I let him set his deck and we did max draw/max mana. I didn't set my deck and pulled a Balance. Man was he pissed

I have to have a good 1000 cards from the set that was just after the "beta" series. RIgth when it was becomming popular. I don't play any more, and would be happy to part with them for a good cause.
What cards do you need, I would be happy to look for ya. I have a bunch of the "forest" cards. I hear they are rare. Need any?

thats right, dude actually started with arabian nights... boy he whipped us, both of us, big time a couple times.
wizards of the coast says that a lot of the cards that they were initially publishing were very unbalancing, like a shivan dragon is really cheap and really powerful, or scherazade, which, IIRC, forces everyone to play a game within a game. fork it and you have to do it twice. that was fun. but then they realized that those cards made the game suck for anyone who hadn't bought them, so they were declared illegal for tournament play
myself i liked bringing out a vice and a rack.

I just listed 16K cards on EBay in bulk,they should go cheap... search for Pliablemoose as a seller...

My decks are a white/green power deck, black/blue "oh no you don't!" deck (counters / card purges / etc), and a "dime a dozen" all-black cheap-ass creature deck.
They're pretty much all tournament illegal as I have cards dating back to Arabian Nights. I have a couple Alpha and Beta cards in there too, as well as some Italian 4th ed. thrown in just for fun.
My friend has this really really nasty infinite undead deck (tons of graveyard->play creatures), and a flaming goblin death deck which pisses me off all the time.
