Top tier fuels, stuff like Sunoco's Ultra 94 gas; does any of it make a difference? I put Amoco Ultimate or Chevron's 93 (forgot what they call it) in my Altima, what do you guys do?

All 3 are "top tier" gasoline companies; good stuff I presume...

I fill it up wherever I am when my gas is getting low and I have time to stop.

And all the gas comes from the same place. The additives are the only difference and they are mostly a marketing gimic.

If you're buying gas with a higher octane rating than what your car needs, you're wasting your money. I buy my gas from the supermarket that's right by my house.

When I'm in town I always fill up at the cheapest gas station. When I'm on the road traveling somewhere I don't really care.

VQ engines run best on premium, straight outta Nissan's mouth. That topic was beat to the grave in a thread I posted earlier, this one's about where you fill up, not what grade.

I fill up from the top 3 and completely avoid others.

Also I avoid the damn mileage damaging reformulated gasoline that is required as it kills my MPG. Driving 180 miles per day you track that kind of stuff.

Which top 3? I know a couple of gas stations got together with GM, Ford, Toyota, and BMW to create "top tier" fuel requirements; a few that come to mind are all of ConocoPhillips gas stations, Chevrons, and Shells. BP advertises on their site that Amoco Ultimate actually exceeds top tier standards. GM, Ford, Toyota, and Bimmer all agree that the EPA has sh!t standards for gasoline detergents...

Theres a Shell and a Chevron right on my route to work. I use the Shell if I'm leaving for work and I need gas. I use the Chevron if I'm heading home and I need gas. To lazy to go driving around looking for a place that has gas for 2 cents cheaper.

Technically BP is best for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury but yea...it doesnt matter where I fill up I still get roughly the same mileage.

I fill up at a Sunoco station thats normally pretty empty (always around 6 open pumps). Its not the cheapest, but the three cents per gallon extra is worth the convenience of not having to wait and/or maneuver my truck around other cars.

I fill up at the gas station and yes, I think it makes a difference. It's much better than filling up at the water station or the coffee station.

That's why I put premium in it?

Odd, considering Ford uses Chevron when testing their vehicles.

If anyone is interested a good friend of mine used to work for Texaco in their finance department (pretty high up) and he said that most of the gasoline comes from only a few refineries...so basically, it's all the same.

Canadian Tire with bonus coupon so i get more Canadian Tire money (filling up my car for $30 generally gives me a dollar or 2 back in Canadian tire money).

BP/Chevron/Shell. I don't know much about gas, but I generally get better mileage from them.
