Where do you buy your games from.

Hi guys,
If anyone has read any of my other post you'll realise that I'm new to the PC gaming side of things. I'm not new to gaming, got over twenty years playing games. Anyway I've been buying my games from Steam, Origin, Uplay and G2A. It's the latter that I've been wondering about. The games are at silly cheap prices and I got told that some of the game keys have been stolen. All my game code keys have worked with all of the above mentioned site. Can't find out anything on the net about stolen codes, they give you 100% replacement key code.
I just don't fancy help thieves or terrorist with buying knock off game codes. I now it sounds silly, but would you.
Any advice,
Cheers Karl

For PC games I use steam. I am not too overly concerned with finding the absolute cheapest prices and I like to have all my games logged in and auto updated in a single application. For me, Steam just works.

Greenman Gaming has good prices and quite a few killer deals.

Also a good source is Humble Bundle.

I use Origin only for EA exclusives (that aren't sold anywhere else). Beyond that their service is inferior, their prices are usually worse, and EA has something of an evil reputation whereas Valve is one of the angelic guardians of the glorious PC Gaming Master Race, as is GOG; aided by their disciples Green Man Gaming and Humble Bundle. :)

Mostly Greenmangaming, great prices, almost always better than Steam's except for special events (Season sales) while still being totally legit. G2A may have better prices but I feel it's too 'shady' for my taste.

Use GMG for the most part as well, provided code is for Steam. And Steam directly during sales.

Although I've bought a few recently retail, as I only have a cell phone for home internet. GTAV was like 65gb, didn't want to raise any eyebrows at Verizon.

Lol terrorist. The gray market is seeing profit for individuals willing to stick their neck out but it is a strange and maybe government inspired conclusion to state the money might be going to terrorists. ISIS is stealing oil for millions of dollars a day they don't need to resell keys for $5 profit a piece.

It is true that some of the keys are likely bought with stolen credit cards but many of the keys are bought in another region and sold outside of that region.

Recently there has been a lot of crack down on this practice and keys are getting banned. It is possible to lose your Steam account over this although I have no specific anecdotal evidence.

Mostly there is just very little reason to use the gray market, the risk vs reward is very low.

Steam and Amazon, whichever is cheaper.

Origin only for games that aren't available on Steam and aren't any cheaper on AMZN (pretty sure the only game I have on there is The Sims 4, and maybe one of the Dragon Age games)

I've bought at one time or another over the last couple years from the following:

Steam
GOG
UPlay
Origin
GreenManGaming
GetGamesGo
HumbleBundle
Amazon
GameStop (though, they just sold out there digital business)
GameFly
Battle.net (Hearthstone is also on Amazon mobile now, so I can buy card packs with discounted Amazon coins and Amazon also has a coin rebate going on.)

Ever try to get a refund from Steam? Then try to get a refund from EA's Origin; *tell you which one is like getting blood from a stone and which one is easy; will surprise you*....Steam's customer service was never great to begin with....now utter crap compared to Origin; GoG; Greenman gaming.

Lots of places to get games........depends on where you look and if you want to use vpn or not ;)

I use Steam because of Big Picture mode. Everything not Steam (like EA games) I shove in the interface. If its not on sale in Steam then I pick up a Steamkey on allkeyshop.com.

Steam
Amazon
GreenManGaming
GamersGate
Humble Bundle
Indie Gala
Gamestop/Impulse
BundleStars
GetGamesGo

Just to name a few. GreenManGaming usually has the best deals. All these stores sell Steam codes (for at least some games; always check the product description first before buying). All these stores are legit retailers too, no shady CD key resellers.

Also, GOG for guaranteed DRM-free games.

G2A and Steam.

If you are worried about supporting terrorists, dont buy EA games.

PC games: either Steam or GOG

Console games: usually Gamestop as I tend to buy used copies since they're cheaper. Occasionally Best Buy. There's also a great little shop in town here that sells old console games and accessories. I've picked up a couple things there for my Genesis.

Usually Steam but am on the long term path towards diversifying my use of any services or platforms. For right now that is wanting to start using GOG much more right now.

Didn't you originally start your Membership here with an anti-DRM thread ?

Gone over to the Dark side I see . . .

.

If I did you have a better memory than me. Wouldn't be surprised though, I was a dumb teenager. :p I've been buying from steam for years though.
