I'm having a wicked hard time finding natural sea sponges for washing my car locally. I also need a good chamois. Any good websites?

Was? Car?

I thought that was what the rain was for. Besides, that nice layer of dirt, oil, and road salt acts as a shield from other nast things =P

Just about everything you could want. I got my sea sponge from there and it works great.

yeah those things are sick! I was using them at my old job to clean the companies cars...they work really well. No idea why it's so hard to find natural sponges tho...

Natural Sea Sponge
Big Blue II Drying Towel

Their Big Blue microfiber towel is awesome for drying too. A single pass with it soaks up all the water after a wash, won't scratch, and feels like it can still soak up a decent amount more.

If you're lazy, a California Water Blade takes water off real quick. I use both a water blade and big blue for drying, and it never takes more than a few minutes - if even that - to get the whole car dry.

awesome, thanks! saved me a trip to the store 😀

you could also get a natural sponge at any local bath and body store for pretty cheap too. we ususally go to our local auto parts store for meguaire's and whatnot. the man washes the car too much (a little anal) to buy the super pricey stuff.

For wash I just use any generic car wash stuff... being sure to make it as foamy as possible. I never use brushes they are sooooo scratch prone. I either use natural sponges which are $1.50 local auto shop or those huge yellow artificial ones (they hold a lot of water)

i use a water blade and the thirsty cloth thing...then i come back maybe 30min - hour to dry up the dribbles from the windows and hinges.

i put wax on with a 6 inch buffer and remove and polish with a 12 inch buffer. You get a better longer lasting/even finish this way.

i use meguiars cleaner/polish... my cars repainted it works best for my paint.
