I am starting this post just cause im curious about what people do for a living.
I work as a Lab technician at my college.. I really dont do much basic help desk stuff.
Spent most of my time doing some homework or just surfing the net. Its nice to get paid to do homework and surf the net.

So what do you guys do?

If your wondering.. I am currently at work and have nothing better to do.

I work for our schools computer helpdesk and I'm at work working hard right now🙂

I also work retail on school breaks and do independent computer stuff on the side.

Yes, we push around your rebates. Most days I monitor the completion of thousands of rebate submissions. Essentially, I'm an Excel and database monkey. Remember that $50 camera rebate for which you didn't qualify? I could have prevented that.

(I take bribes via Paypal)

I work at Instructional Support Services at WSU.
My job entails scheduling class DVD/VHS presentations, assisting students with media transfer and multimedia presentation building and (eventually) ASP.net coding.

I work at a place that makes trucks.
I look at engineering drawings.. over and over.
I want to shoot myself in the face everytime i go there.

I work at the Milwaukee County Zoo. (during summer, student at UW-Madison rest of the year)

I drive around in a golf cart and cut things down with chainsaws.

Official title is too extravagant... I basically work on electrical and mechanical drawings and part suppliers for the air conditioners we sell.

I am an "IT - Production Support: Batch Admin"
I mostly deal with failed batch jobs, loading third party data into our DBs, loading code to our production servers, and running DB queries for the legal department when they need lots of data fast.

I'm a union plumber/pipefitter by trade.
I'm also a slumlord. I own a business and co-own another.
Aside from that stuff, I just do whatever my wife tells me to.
Oh, I fix computers, too.
