But why should the United States be involved in two wars in the region? Do we have a good cause for invading two countries, spending our money, and losing the lives of our people for it? To my mind, no.

in historical perspective. we've not lost very many lives.

I disagree with your fiscal policy then. High taxes and high spending are not the way to go.

how else is the government going to make money? selling pot?

That's completely fucked up, and so is your justification. It doesn't matter if what you are doing is wrong or not wrong; it is a matter of the government has no justification, no cause, and no right to invade your reasonable expectation of privacy.

so by that basis, we should just let people do whatever they want on the interwebz? fap to your daughter? learn how and when to blow shit up?

Despite the large cost associated to it? Protecting who? Intervening in what?

always be prepared.

Are you missing the word "illegal"? We have a lawful process for immigration, which these people are short-circuiting. How is that fair to those going through the legal process of immigration? They spend far more time and money doing things the right way, and nothing is done to stop those who short-cut the system? Is that right? No, it is absolutely not. Forget the drug dealers, murderers, et cetera; I'll even be willing to forget the damage done to border towns and homes for this discussion. They are entering our nation with zero respect for our system of laws, and those who do respect our laws are getting screwed by it as a bonus.

do you know for a fact that 100% of all illegal aliens are fucking our shit up?

So I'm getting an impression of you as a large government, high tax, high spending, hawkish type.

replied in your quote because im lazy and icing my ankle

Aside from the fact that any American lives lost in those two countries are wasted by our government to my mind, that still doesn't explain whether it is a financially wise decision (it isn't), or whether we have the right, obligation, or duty to invade other countries and "liberate" them.

how else is the government going to make money? selling pot?

Low taxes, low spending. You and I cannot spend outside of what we make - unless we want to go into debt, and then we have interest payments, and companies or banks looking to get their money back, and soon. Why should the government be any different? And the government is not a business to "make" money by selling something.

so by that basis, we should just let people do whatever they want on the interwebz? fap to your daughter? learn how and when to blow shit up?

Largely, yes, yes, and yes. Taking away liberties does not ensure security. It does not work, and it is unconstitutional. If we cannot hold to our principles, then what are we?

always be prepared.

Ridiculous. We do not need, nor can we well afford, the sheer number of military bases we have scattered around the world.

do you know for a fact that 100% of all illegal aliens are fucking our shit up?

I do not know that for certain; no one does. However, I don't care whether 100% of them are causing destruction, it does not matter - they are in this country illegally, have defied our laws to enter the country, and that should not be tolerated.

I support open border policy for the US if immigrants are taxed equally.
.

Free immigration/trade is just crazy when we pay our people to sit at home. Weakens our people, our manufacturing and industrial might, and is a national security issue.

You could be awesome like I am and just not have a party affiliation. Honestly if you're not a politician and you're aligned with a political party you're probably an idiot who needs others to think for you anyways.

I dont put signs on my lawn during elections either. I used to be affiliated with the republicans because economically I thought they represented me. It was good business for me locally as well since I supported politicians that represented my business interests or so I thought.

The neocon movement and the social conservative movements have pushed many liberal republicans away from the the party. Ya that's right there used to be liberal republicans.....

I do repeat my point about being independent. its going to become more and more mainstream as the years come. If Murkowski in alaska and Christ win florida we could see a big independent movement in the coming years.

No, MA hasn't banned guns, they just have a completely retarded array of rules for it, and a bunch of the system is probably unconstitutional anyways.
Is it illegal to buy guns from out of state?
What's stopping a MA resident from going to buy guns in NH legally?

Is it illegal to sell guns legally to someone not from the state?

I would agree however with more companies outsourcing and environmentalist protesting steel manufacturers (a major one here in utah closed down in recent years and their equipment sold to a chinese company and shipped overseas)

The problem is that we are not at the top of the industrial chain anymore. I think more along the lines of free immigration but secure boarder.

Our country really needs to pull its head out of the ass of the service industry and make stuff. I think immigrants can help with this if we can pull them from the fields.

Does anyone else think its sad that the world's richest man is Mexican?

No, it's actually funny because he completely took advantage of the shithole that is Mexico by creating a complete ironfisted monopoly.

He is also ethnically um... Lebanese.

Basically the richest man in the world is an Arabic or possibly Armenian.

I don't need to start a dispute on what I do and don't believe or why it is good or bad. I am just curious on where I stand. I had a conversation in my poli-sci class and it really made me think about it. I think I am in the middle.

I support gay rights, because I love lesbians.
I support gun rights, except to violent criminals.
I support abortion.
I support religious freedom, no matter if you are muslim, buddhist, or christian.
I support free speech, but believe people should keep their mouth shut if all their looking for is to troll people.
I support higher taxes on everyone, but more so on the 250k+ bracket.
I support public programs (wellfare, health care, ect.)
I support the right of immigrant workers, because I sure as hell don't want to work on a farm.
I support witch craft and masturbation.
I think people should leave religious biased out of politics and decision making.
I also think we should legalize and tax drug use. People are going to do it anyway, why not make some cash off of it. Have you seen those mexican drug dealers houses? One of those guys had a fucking bengal tiger. A FUCKING TIGER.

Did I miss any other hot topics right now? So where do I stand?
That seems like a textbook Democrat to me - probably a southern Democrat since you support gun rights. If one assumes that "the middle" includes many Democrats and many Republicans, then you could reasonably be placed within that group, if on the far left side of it. The only thing that might bump you out of "the middle" would be if you extend your support for the "rights of immigrants" to include illegal immigrants, the natural corollary being if you extend your support for gun rights to include criminals.

You can buy and sell guns out of state, but they must be transferred through a dealer in your state of residence. If you live in MA, went to a gun show in NH, and bought a gun from a private party seller (i.e. not a gun dealer), that would be against the law.

How about inheriting them?
