I'm looking at getting a Seagate SATA 3Gb/s drive.. but all the cables I see on NewEgg are for SATA150. Will these cables allow the full effect of SATA 3Gb? If not, how can I tell if a cable supports the new SATA?

As far as I know they're the same shiz. Used some old ass SATA cables for my 3 Gb/s HDDs and they work perfectly.

Same cables. Just get good ones (avoid the cheapest ones you can find on SVC), and they'll be fine.

You'll never see regular hard drives maxing out sata 3gb let alone sata150.
