where do I get minidisc software?

so I was playing with my Sony 505 NetMD minidisc player, and I realized...I don't know where the CDs are. There was a program called SimpleBurner and one called OpenMG Jukebox that I used to use to transfer music to the player via the USB cable. Only now I can't find the CDs. So, anyone know where I can get the software from? Is it free, or do I have to pay for it? Is there another program I can use to transfer songs to it?

lol. I STILL prefer discs to hard drives. My bro has a 2 gig Phillips, which I don't really like at all. Minidiscs are fun. I like them.

ooh! You should get an Iomega click player, you'd love them! 😛

There's plenty of ways to do it w/o the software (and a lot better then the software)

I have a MZ-R900 sitting on my desk. Too bad I never use it......

heh, I think minidiscs players are cool. I like the way the discs look. I also prefer just grabbing a disc for my music as opposed to having to go through a menu to find what I want.

I really want to get one of those new 1gb disc players, those are nuts. check out www.minidisco.com for some of the models, if you're interested.

MD is way cool... not sure how Sony failed to make anything more successful out of it

I for one can't see the point of the iPod...

I have a netMD player. If you can't find the software, I can zip it up when I get home. PM me and let me know.

i LOVE my Sony Walkman MD . . .. . more than 2 hours (quality recording) per mini-disc.

There is a Real Player plugin besides Sony's own "Net MD Simple Burner" and "Sonic Stage".

I believe you can get Sony's MD software from their site - i UPdated mine from the 'net - newer than the CD that came with my MD.

On top of that, I have 50+ hours of battery life from 1 AA. I usually get 3 hours or so on my discs .. LP2. They sound great.

I only paid $40 for my MD player, brand new. And it came with 6 discs and an holder that wraps around your arm.

mines the "walkman" heavy duty waterproof one . . . built like a tank. 🙂
i usually use the 2nd speed (2x80 minutes - sounds much better than 128bit MP3s) . . . . and YES, battery life is SPECTACULAR . . . . at least 50 hours from a single (rechargeable) AA

now that's technology.... i can't believe ppl go ga-ga over the iPod... 300 bucks and the battery lasts all of 5 hours... come on, are they serious???

I have an MD player, but I rarely use it. I like the technology, but for music on the go, it's much easier for me to just have a music player, with no discs. I don't want of fumble around with MD"s when I'm on the train in the morning.
