Where do I get 40X compliant CD-R media?

I will bet you $100 that there is no difference between 40x cd-r media and 2x cd-r media. I use my old "8x" Memorex cd-rs in my 24x writer and have no problems.
 
I have one or two 24X I think. I've used (and only do use) 16X at 24X. I'm sure that most 16X would work at 40, and if I'm wrong a 24 or 32x definitely would. Anyway who cares - until 40X are available just burn at 24X. It's not like 3.5 minutes is too long to wait!

I just bought some Imation 24x's at OD.
 
I get the feeling CoolTech is mistaking the **X **X 40X with the burn speed which would be the first ** but I'm just guessing cause I ain't seen no 40x burners yet.
