Where do I even start with this problem?

Over the past week my PC would freeze up randomly when I was surfing. It would be on for anywhere between 5-15 mintues before it would freeze and occasionaly it would get past the post screen. Then yesterday it froze and even holding the power button down wouldn't turn it off so I had to pull the power cord. Now it won't even try to boot up. I'm not getting any power at all.
Anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix this?

I am running ecs k7s5a, xp 1700, gf3 ti 200, 512 meg centron ddr ram, wd 80 gig hd, soundblaster xgamer, enlight case with a 340 watt psu. windows xp

Thanks for any help

first off, did you plug the power back in securely, second make sure that the power buttons are plugged into the right pins, third, what usb devices are you using? try unplugging them and booting up, also try a minimal boot of cpu, ram mobo see if you get post, then add in video cards, then hdd, then other cards until the problem manifests itself again

Unplug the cable from the back of the PSU and let it sit for about 5 minutes. This should reset your PSU. After that try booting up again.

Thanks for your help. I tried all those things you guys mentioned and I'm still not getting any power at all. Does this mean for sure my PSU is bad? Or could it be my motherboard? Is there any way to test the psu?

Thanks again

Had a similar problem before about the computer not wanting to turn on, swapped power supplies, worked, swapped back to the old one and worked... try new PS if possible.
