I hated my last job and was talking on AIM to an old college buddy. He told me about a job oppotunity w/ his current employer so I sent my resume, got the interview and was hired within 2 weeks.

Interned for large company at one location last summer. Applied for a job at one of their other locations through an email address that was given to me during the internship.

Had all my application paperwork in with the school system and monitored the job postings on their website. When an opening I wanted came up I applied, interviewed, and here I am.

monster.com

submitted resume to several companies...got replies from 2...interviewed for 2...got an offer from 1. Been here for almost 3 months now and already I'm moving up in the company. hehehe..in a few weeks I'll be promoted to a higher position. More work, more responsibilities...but definitely more pay and less boring. Goog stuff.

A temp agency, acting on behalf of a huge IT company, found my resume on monster.com, the day after I posted a copy of it there.
Then, someone observing my work for said agency decided that I needed to work for her company, and her company made me an offer I couldn't refuse. ;)
