Squisher, your first sentence is what I have been trying -and failing- to say. It goes both ways, and it seems only those without an emotional attachment to political party can see it.

I don't think leftist are unpatriotic or evil. I think I understand why they want what they want. I just think that their solutions are misguided and doomed to failure.

An interesting position to take considering you can see right in front of your fact the tremendous disaster that is the Bush policy. This is why your dangerous. You are going to vote in a way, no doubt, that will lead us all further into disaster and you refuse to see it. The conservatives are in LaLa Land.

Who isn't driven by ideology?

Are there conservatives that are mental drones? Sure. But, I don't think that is unique to only conservatives.

'Misguided and doomed to failure' - an accurate description of the Bush administration.

The problem is that almost nobody knows what he feels and so your emotional attachments are completely unconscious. And the more disassociated one becomes from feeling the more insane one becomes.

Its amazing how quickly you can eat your own when they question the cause for even one second. Spends years as a conservative columnist...and in a matter of minutes he's reduced to another no nothing liberal whose opinions can safely be discounted. I see this thread as proof of his point really.

cwjerome is another one of these people that thinks not being partisan makes you cool. Again, this is the kind of person that would have thought abolitionists were rabid partisans during the civil war. Being partisan in itself doesn't make you wrong or less analytical. Look at history, there are partisans that are on teh wrong side of history and partisans that are right part of history. Ridiculous. Don't associate with any belief systems or parties or else you might partisan... oh nooeeees.

RES IPSA LOQUITUR - Lat. "the thing speaks for itself." Refers to situations when it's assumed that a person's injury was caused by the negligent action of another party because the accident was the sort that wouldn't occur unless someone was negligent.

It's fun watching all the conservative brownshirts use the very tactics described in Paul Craig Roberts' article to prove his point.
For all the good it did. When one cave dweller stepps into the light it doesn't mean others in the cave will see. It will only mean that one more person went insane.

Sheesh! I was just pointing out the fallacy in the notion of a false opinion, which is a contradiction of terms, an oxymoron. Saying that it was patently obvious so the thing speaks for itself.
