Where did "I'm in your ..... stealin' your ...." come from?

That saying probably goes all the way back to "All your bases are belong to us"

First i heard it was back in Warcraft/Starcraft days "Im in ur baSe killin ur mans"

I don't know the origin, but as evidenced by Tiamat's post, the preferred (mis)spelling is "ur." That is all.

(First time I've used spelling nazism to argue in favor of spelling things wrong. 🙂 )

Too lazy to get the reference, but this started after a webcomic - I think PvP? - said something very similar, Starcraft related I believe (not sure other than that it came from a web comic series).

I first heard it in warcraft 1. In ur base, killing ur farms

I'm pretty sure the anonymous masses on IRC aided in the coining of the meme, though.

"Im in ur base killing ur dudez" or some mispelling of that is the origin.

It is a reference to a RTS, probably warcraft or starcraft. A crappy player is oblivious to another player destroying their buildings and probably gathering units. The attacking player sends him this message, perhaps to rub it in, perhaps feeling sorry for him. I'm in your base, killing your dudes. To let him know he's under attack, because for some reason his opponent is missing it.

Like most pieces of internet lore, the exact origins will probably never be completely known.

The first time I saw it was in some news article where someone had apparently hacked it and put something like that in the caption. It cracked me up.

don't think it's from AYB, that line isn't anywhere in it.

It isnt, but the idea is somewhat similar. Originality is a tough subject to argue because you can always find an off-reference earlier 🙂 Thats just what popped into my mind -- AYB has a similar subject to the RTS type gaming lingo.

Originally started with a Warcraft match where someone was off building, and then asked where the other guy was and he replied:
"I'm in your base, I'm killing your mans!" (which he was) Then thanks to cats, it took off.

My favorite example is Machall's Cherabrim strip.

Agreed. The YTMND made it explode, but it was already around.

What strip?
