Where could I find a driver for a pci ide card?

not nearly enough information. What kind of card is it? Who made it?

Worst case, look it up on gateway's site, but I doubt you'll find much.

That maxtor daughtercard shouldn't be a problem, if you planning to use the original mobo and ATA 133 HDDs. Otherwise, lose it if you're running ATA 66/100 HDDs. It was an add-on in case one wanted the faster hdds on an older mobo.

Hi, If the card has a manufacturer's name and model number on it go to their site and download the driver. If no name get the name and number off the main CHIP on the board and go there. If no luck go to driverguide.com and look it up. Luck, Jim

Yup, it should work fine with any IDE hard drive. Get drivers from Maxtor.com or Promise.com Just match the controller chip number with the drivers.
